Daniel S. Rubiaco

Welcome! I am a Licensed Psychologist providing psychotherapy in a private practice setting in Bakersfield, CA. I graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology – Los Angeles Campus in September 2017 and earned the degree of Doctor of Psychology in Applied Clinical Psychology. In addition to my doctoral degree, I graduated from California State University, Bakersfield in 2007 with a master’s degree in Social Work. I, also, have two undergraduate degrees from the University of California, Davis (2003) in Sociology and Communications.

As a therapist my commitment is to cultivate an accepting and confidential environment to promote emotional support and safety in difficult times. With your assistance, my goal is to facilitate an organic discussion of your reason for seeking therapy. I am inspired to see people grow and stabilize situations in their life by providing psychotherapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused treatment and psychoeducation. These interventions can allow an individual to grow as well as see and experience life in a more positive manner.

My clinical training has included individual, family, and group therapy focusing on trauma due to violent crimes and family welfare services. I currently provide clinical services in three specific areas throughout the community:

  1. I provide acute psychological treatment at an acute inpatient psychological facility.
  2. I provide outpatient psychotherapy/counseling services.
  3. I also provide clinical forensic services.

In addition to being a professional mental health clinician, I am a husband, father, son and brother. I enjoy and find balance in life through many mediums such as spending time with family, attending sporting events and personal reflection.
